Inception
Directed by Christopher Nolan, the topic of dream or idea theft can be simply summed up as original and captivating. This film is a success as far as mysteries go because of the director’s keen eye for details that a film such as this could not succeed without. The argument that takes place within Cobb’s head is a strength within the film due to its ability to capture the audience and make details pivotal in order to grasp what is the entirety of the movie. The loss of Cobb’s loved one, internal struggle of guilt and moral, or even the risk taken to see his children are scenarios that the audience can relate to. Details are crucial within Inception, as displayed by the totems. Cobb and his team know how subtly an idea can be planted in one’s head, or how easy it is to leave the real world, which is what makes this film original and captivating. The audience doesn’t stop wondering even through the end of the film, the floor is opened to the audience to finish the mystery.
