Doctor's Office

Going to the doctor, I never know what kind of children I’m going to see, nor do I ever really pay much attention, but for the first time I did. I walked into a sick waiting room near a family with two children; a boy and a girl. The sweet looking brunette girl gets her mom’s attention and asks why they can’t go to the other side of the office where the chalk wall is. The mom explains that the other waiting room is for children who aren’t sick, so they can’t go over. The child looks quite confused because I assume although she might not feel well, she thinks that being “sick” makes her a bad kind of different. I think there is something so wonderful about children because they are so innocent. The doctor came and called the family by the son’s name, so his head popped up and he said “what” and the family began to laugh. Children can be so oblivious, but that also makes them comical without even trying. The children I see in the waiting room are playing with their family, or finding toys but they have no idea that they could be at the doctor’s for shots.
